Presidential Ponderings

Thanks to Carla Nemeth for her West Coast Swing lesson and Terry Fetters for his merengue mixer, we had a good time at our March dance. Congratulations to Aaron and Dolores who are the winners of our first drawing for free passes to a future dance. We plan to have a drawing at each monthly dance for our members as a perk.

Beginning in April we will be dancing at our new location, St. Brigid's school gym in downtown Midland. So tell your friends and fellow dancers to come and join us for a Cha-cha lesson with Terri Herrick and a night of dancing. We will be dancing on a large wooden floor with plenty of room for everyone.

On Sunday Sept. 29th, 2013 we are planning our 1st Annual Dinner/Dance to celebrate National Ballroom Dance Week in style! This will be a late afternoon/early evening event with lots of dance time. Part of the event will be to give our dancers'(that would be you) an opportunity to put on a showcase dance. So pick your favorite dance, work with an instructor and strut your stuff! We are also currently looking for some pro's or high level amateur competitors to perform for us at the event.

If you would like to volunteer to help with this event, please contact me or any board member. We are also looking for sponsors to fund the event.
