August Presidential Ponderings
Hope everyone has had a wonderful summer (it's a little to short for me). Before you know it Labor Day will be here and those yellow busses will be rolling down the road again.
Our August dance was a lot of fun with lots of good music and plenty of floor space for those who attended. Hopefully next year we will be able to have a member appreciation dance again.
September has two dances, the normal monthly dance at St.Brigid's on Friday the 13th and the Autumn Serenade Ball on Sunday the 29th. If you have not purchased your ticket for the 29th, I encourage you to do so. The dead line for ticket sales is Sept. 16th, there are NO tickets at the door. Tickets can be ordered online or print off a form and mail or bring it to the Sept. 13th dance.
The Autumn Serenade Ball will be an enjoyable day of dancing, dining and entertainment. There will be lots of dancing to music provided by D.J. Rick Popp, several showcase dances by area dancers, and we have pro's Danik Kutuzov and Maria Shalvarova, who are the two-time North American Show Dance Champions. You can see a sample of their dancing at http://www.hiptwisted.com/couples/daniils-kutuzovs-maria-shalvarova. Ticket and menu selections can be found by clicking Sept 29, under Upcoming Activities to your right on this page. Don't miss out.
Looking even farther ahead to the October dance, this will be the Halloween Costume dance. Last year there was a great turn-out of costumed dancers and we hope to have even more this year! Be creative!
See you at the next dance,
