January Presidential Ponderings
I would like to thank all of the dancers that stayed after the dance to help clean up. We cleaned up in record time. THANK YOU! I would also like to thank Angela Markle for the Rumba lesson and leading the mixer.
We have completed our survey and are looking over the results. There were 27 surveys taken, most of the concerns were about music. We do hear you and are trying to select music with a broader appeal. If you do suggest a song please make sure that you give us the correct title and artist. It is very difficult to find songs if the title is misspelled or with the wrong artist. Over all it looks like we are doing OK at providing a good dance venue and environment. Those of you that offered to volunteer, the survey was anonymous, so please let us know who you are.
Looking forward into the new year, at our last meeting the board approved planning another Autumn Serenade Ball. We hope that we can count your support to make it a successful event ( as Darrell once said if you start saving $1 a week now, you will have enough for the ball in September). If you are willing to help with advertising (we can use the help) please let me know.
Our February dance is on the 14th, Valentine's Day. This is a great time to encourage a friend to treat their special Valentine to a night of dancing and good fellowship. Rick Popp will be our guest instructor and will be teaching the Tango . . how romantic is that!
Don't forget that our March and April dances will be held at the Freeland Sports Zone.
Keep warm and I hope to see you all dancing.
