April 2014 Presidential Ponderings

Hello Dancers,

It's been a month since my last ponderings . . . well at least the ones that I share. Let's start with a little reflection on our April dance, Steve Reynolds taught a well received lesson of the Night Club Two Step, thank you, Steve. We had several new and first time attendees (I hope you will all come again). I would also like to thank those who helped with clean up after the dance, a little help goes along way.

Our next dance will be on May 9th. Remember we will be back at St. Brigid's in Midland. Carla will be our guest instructor and will be teaching the Mambo. Once again, this dance would be a great opportunity for you to bring a friend and introduce them to our world of dancing.

We are forming a Planning Committee for our 2nd Annual Autumn Serenade Ball. If you are interested please contact myself or Denise ASAP. We currently have the date and location set for September 21st at the Horizon Conference Center in Saginaw, but still have lots of decisions to be made. There will be more information about the event on our web site as it becomes available.

Last year at the Autumn Serenade Ball we had six showcase dances by our local dancers. I would like to see even more this year. So get together with your favorite instructor, put together a routine and dance for us.

Keep dancing,
