2014 June Presidential Ponderings
Now that the weather is warm, we all have lots to do. I would like to remind you, on that hot Friday night in July (11th) that it will be nice and cool in the St. Brigid's school gym for our dance. Joann Podleski will be teaching the Country Two Step. Lesson starts at 7PM.
I would like to thank Angela Markel for our June Rumba lesson and leading the mixer.
Also a special thanks to Paula Patrick for her talents and efforts to provide the fans that were placed on the tables.
For our August dance we are planning a pot luck, no lesson. The meal will start at 7PM, followed dancing till 10:30. So bring a dish to pass and enjoy an evening of fellowship and dancing.
This year is an election year for our chapter. This is your chance to make a difference. Step up to the challenge and become a member of the board. Nomination for board members will start soon, with elections in the fall.
The Autumn Serenade Ball should be spectacular this year. We have our Pros lined up and ready to put on a show for us. You can check them out at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=efrFRznTk8o and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9mtPVoZAc6M. Currently we have potentially 4 showcase dances, so don't be left behind... show off your talents. Get with an instructor and dazzle us with a wonderful routine.Ticket sales will start later in July. To make this a great event, we need everyone to promote it, tell your friends, family, co-workers anyone who enjoys having good time.
We are still looking for sponsors to help defer the cost so more funds can go to the Johnny Burke Children's Foundation. We currently have 2 sponsors. If you or if you know of someone, who would be willing to sponsor please let Denise or I know.
