USA Dance (SW FL) Chapter #6049
 This program is coupled with a "Recreational Partnership" with the City of Fort Myers, FL and allows our chapter to offer this Introduction tp Ballroom Dancing to the local community at an affordable price. A similiar program is offered at the Four Freedoms Park Recreation Center in Cape Carol FL on Wednesday nights from 7 to 9 PM. Classes are in eight week segments and are progressive. The instructor starts from the beginning each week and adds a step or more as appropriate weekly.
Mainly, classic ballroom is offered at the Fort Myers location while alternative rhythm programs are offered in Cape Coral.
In addition to this program chapter 6049 offers a social dance monthly. The fourth Sunday of every month the chapter holds a dance at the Riverside Community Center at 3061 East Riverside Drive in Fort Myers. This may follow the format of the "Tea Dance" with a lesson by a professional instructor, snacks and refreshments with mixers and general dancing or may be a themed dance, a showcase, a workshop or just a relaxed social dance. The hours are from 4 to 7 PM and the admission is $8.00 for USA Dance Members and $10.00 for others. The times and admission may vary with the type of event.
