USA Dance (Chicagoland) Chapter #2001

Welcome to USA Dance Chicagoland Chapter 2001! We are dedicated to helping build ballroom dancing opportunities in the Chicagoland community through local studio/instructor outreach, youth outreach, social dances, formal dinner-dances and a robust competitive event.

We are a non-profit organization. Our USA Dance Chapter, through member-dancer volunteers, reaches out to the community to promote dancing in a variety of ways including social dances with a group lesson taught by local professional teachers, public demonstrations, serving as an information resource about ballroom dance and more.

We conduct the annual Chicagoland Dancesport Challenge in November, hold a formal Gala dinner dance in April, and hold monthly social dances on the second Saturday evening of each month (except October where it is the 3rd Saturday). These dances feature a 45-minute lesson from an alternating list of local professional instructors and then are opened for general dancing. Dancers of all levels are invited to attend all these events. USA Dance membership is encouraged but not mandatory, though the benefits far outweigh the small cost.
