I have a group of friends that have been dancing for years and I feel like a clod when I go. The men are always patient and helpful but I want to get out there and dance like I know what's going one, no stumble all over their feet. I have a "tiny" bit of East Coast Swing experience, a little bit of line dancing, took ballet as a child and danced in dinner theater but never learned the fundamentals, only the moves. I'm 57 and would prefer some private lessons, IF I could afford it. I took some class lessons and seemed to always get coupled up with a man that had no sense of music and two left feet, so didn't learn a lot. I feel like I get passed over for a dance because they know they are going to have to drag me around the floor.
