I have a group of friends that have been dancing for years and I feel like a clod when I go. The men are always patient and helpful but I want to get out there and dance like I know what's going one, no stumble all over their feet. I have a "tiny" bit of East Coast Swing experience, a little bit of line dancing, took ballet as a child and danced in dinner theater but never learned the fundamentals, only the moves. I'm 57 and would prefer some private lessons, IF I could afford it. I took some class lessons and seemed to always get coupled up with a man that had no sense of music and two left feet, so didn't learn a lot. I feel like I get passed over for a dance because they know they are going to have to drag me around the floor. I've quit going when I'd love nothing better than to get out there and show them they don't have to teach me because I have learned to do it with ease. Have ALWAYS wanted to be a dancer!…
