Doug Kesler started teaching American style ballroom dancing over thirty years ago in Muncie, Indiana while attending Ball State University. His education interests were theatre and music which compliment dance instruction.
His training was through Arthur Murray Dance Studio in Muncie and Fort Wayne, Indiana, where he received superior training from coaches such as Sam Sodano (Ohio), David Butcher (Ohio), Gary Stepfans (Wisconsin), and Pat Traymore (Virginia). He came to Hawaii as a dance director for Arthur Murray in Honolulu. After two years, he decided to go independent. Great successes have always followed this energetic teacher. Over the past 20 years, he and his students have earned high awards such as top student, top teacher, and top studio in the Hawaii Star Ball Dance Sport.
Kesler teaches rhythm and smooth ballroom dancing. He is a fantastic instructor and is comfortable teaching anyone from youngsters to his oldest student of 87. You will have your spirits lifted even on a tough day. Come dance at Kesler's School of Dance!
